Spooky stories!

On Saturday, October 31st, 2020, we sat around the fire and told each other spooky campfire stories.

Pie in the sky - by Sarge

It was a dark night, I was walking home as the moon shone bright.

In the distance, I heard what sounded like dog's barking, I hurried my steps wanting to get home. The street I came too had no lighting, a eerie thought came to mind as I heard a loud scream. I jumped in my skin, my breathing became faster as my heart pounded wanting to break out. I started to run but in the darkness I tripped, on the floor I lay as a dark shadow stood over me!!!!

I rubbed my eyes and... oh, noooooo! It's Trainway saying "Do you have any pies?" and "Event is about to start".

Wizard of blog - by Sarge

I was laid in bed when I heard the noise: footsteps outside my room. I pulled my cover higher so only my eyes were peering over the top, the footsteps were next to my door now. Sweat trickled down my brow as my shivering body waited to see my fate, my heart raced like it was a fast car on overdrive.

What or who was it, then there was a bang on the door, I shuddered and stopped myself screaming. I thought if I stayed here and kept silent it would go away, the door handle turned, I pulled the cover over me and waited as the footsteps came closer!!!!! I felt a prod in my back and froze, the cover was pulled back and...

It was Pau who said "Sarge, when you doing your next blog?"

The lady of the lake - by Red Zone/Ace J/Grot Bags

One day my eldest sister walked alongside a pond, opposite if where nuns used to live. Further down the road monks lived in a very large house. There is a mount in the garden opposite.
My sister was walking home from school in winter so getting dark.
She heard someone else. what the time was?
This lady suddenly disappeared.
It was impossible to have disappeared so fast.
My sister runs home, scared.
Where did she go?
Lady of the lake as she's known to this day.
It was a nun that was meant to have committed sin with a monk. Knowing this, he committed suicide.
She walked into the lake too.

The penguin - by Sarge

A friend of mine's father worked out in the Antarctic. During an expedition they accidentally killed a penguin.
When they got back he had brought a present back, a porcelain penguin for his wife. She put it on the mantlepiece.
That first night they heard noises downstairs, he went down and found things smashed!
He cleaned it up and the next night it happened again, this time more stuff smashed, then the next night but the porcelain penguin never moved!
In the end, he brought a specialist in and it was said that the penguin that had died had come back as a poltergeist. He had to have his house demonised and moved.

Grot Bags, Rod Hull and Emu - by Sarge and Red Zone/Ace J/Grot Bags

S: I had this thing a while back, that I was getting followed, like someone was watching me! Wherever I went I felt a green image was there: it was Grott Bags!
Watch out Grot Bags: Rod Hull and Emu are at the door!
GB: ermm... you're asking for trouble.
S: I heard Emu pushed Rod Hull of his roof when he was fixing his aerial: that's how he died.
GB: more than one emu, I think: it was a birds' nest he was trying move, not the aerial.
S: It might have been a Borgs nest.
GB: nest of tables???? haaa!!
S: A Borgs nest of Tribbles.

Olinda's room - by Pau

In the tower of Castel Caldes (Italy) there is a completely frescoed room called the Olinda prison. According to the legend, the countess Marianna Elisabetta Thun was locked up there by her father Redemondo because she fell in love with Arunte, a court minstrel, and wanted to marry him.

The countess died there many years ago, alone, crying everyday and every night. The frescoes were her work: she spent years and years creating them.

I went to the castle after sunset, some years ago, and I heard someone crying from the tower. It was heartbreaking and scary. The entrance was clear, no closed doors, so I went in and upstairs, in Olinda’s room.

There was a man inside. Crying and suffering. It was Sarge, who lost the dance off the week before. He was wearing his best tutu, trying new moves and practicing difficult pirouettes, hoping to win the next time.

The White Lady - by Pau

A beautiful lady lived in the castle of Carpi (Italy): she was the wife of one of the Pio (governors of the city).

One day, her husband, blinded by anger and jealousy, killed her pushing her down from the highest window of the tower known as “del Passerino”.

Since then, the ghost of the White Lady, the beautiful young woman killed there, wanders in search of revenge. She shows herself from time to time, at night, predicting to the descendants of the Pio family misfortunes and tragedies.

The White Lady is still wandering when it’s full or black moon. Look out of your windows, guys: it’s full moon and she left Carpi, looking for YOU.
